EP 160: Amazing Spider-Man = Family Business



Patrick and Dad read and review Mark Waid, and James Robinson’s OGN for Marvel with a globe trotting Spider-Man.

Patrick loves a James Bond style Spidey and watercolor art.

Patrick goes through the entire history of Spider-Man in film and explains the MCU sort of....

Dad wishes he was street based and loves the cornucopia of treats he eats this week.

EP 159: Mother, Come Home



Father and son take a deep dark dive on Father’s Day with Paul Hornschemeier’s  Mother, Come Home.

The graphic novel is dark meditation on depression, fatherhood, and confusion during adolescence.

Some emails are read and some discussion of Father's Day gifts are prompted,

Does Dad cry, does Patrick sniffle.....maybe. but things are lightened up via some Apple Fritters.

Patrick and Dad get down on some Marvel kung-fu action with Ed Brubaker, Matt Fraction, and David Aja’s Iron Fist saga.

 Dad is perplexed and delves into ranting against Donald Trump and Elizabeth Warren,

Patrick and Dad want to understand the level of racism in this comic.

Patrick finds a new favorite series and cannot stop blathering about home much he loves WWI Iron Fist.
